Care, Maintenance, and Daily Use
Hand-painted canvas floor coverings are covered with a
protective stain resistant finish, which provides for simple
maintenance. Sweeping and vacuuming can be used to remove
the usual dust. For spots of dirt, a sponge or soft cloth
may be used along with a mild detergent and water.
Hand-painted canvas floor coverings can be used in homes,
offices and businesses and are best suited for a hard surface
floor, such as wood, linoleum or tile. When placing furniture
on floor coverings, foot caps should be used and the slip pad
should be removed. When cleaning around or under, the floor
coverings should be rolled face up and rested against the wall.
For storage, roll floor coverings face up and place in packing
tube against the wall.
A few things to remember:
Do not use abrasive cleansers or detergents. Do not machine
wash or dry. Do not store or rest floor coverings horizontally,
as their weight may cause cracking. Never fold your floor
covering. When floor coverings are used in areas of traffic,
rotation can keep wear more balanced. Floor coverings, although
beautiful, are also practical.
